The Houston Sheetrock Guy.
The drywall guy behind every guide on this site. More than 10 years in the trade and over 4,300 jobs across Greater Houston, which is a lot of holes, cracks, and ceilings that someone hoped a coat of paint would fix.
The short version: I patch, install, finish, and texture drywall, and I have opinions about all four. The one that matters most is that the patch should be the part you can not find once the wall is painted. Anyone can fill a hole. Blending the texture so the repair disappears is the actual trade, and it is the step most people rush.
I will also tell you when not to hire me. A single nail hole is a six-dollar tube of spackle and twenty minutes, not a service call. Saying that out loud costs me a few tiny jobs and is exactly why people call back for the ceiling.
One honest note about credentials, since people ask: Texas does not license drywall or sheetrock contractors, so anyone can put the word "licensed" on a truck and mean nothing by it. What you are really vetting is the finish work and whether the guy tells you the truth. I would rather show you the work than a wallet card.
The guides here are the same answers I give on the phone, written down. Serving the Greater Houston area, by appointment.
